On Sunday, 13th January, the 11th edition of Nashik Run was held at Mahatma Nagar ground.

The combination of fitness and CSR is the one of the unique features of the Nashik Run. A day of joy, care and togetherness is the Nashik Run... Coming together for common social cause is Nashik Run...

The Mahatma Nagar ground was a sea of around 18000 people in bright red Nashik Run Tshirts... the colour of 2013 and as the Nashik Run commenced, the 5 km stretch seemed like a red wave going forward to spread the message of fitness and humanity across the city.

The main attraction of this year’s Nashik Run was the participation of celebrity Ms. Bhakti Deshapande who is basically from Nashik and has come to fame with her act in the Marathi serials on the television. Bhakti is a classical dancer, who could not resist from dancing, participated in the warm up dance and dance performances presented by Sameer Bal’s Institute of Dance.

The solidarity and generosity was strikingly visible on the backdrop of the stage and the various lucky draw prizes sponsored. The beneficiaries of the Nashik Run were also seen participating in the Run.

The participation of people from all walks of life can be attributed as the key success factor of the Nashik Run. As also the support of the Government machinery has been instrumental in conducting the Run year on year. The unique point of this event is that there are no administrative costs incurred and the entire funds are utilised for the upbringing of the actual beneficiaries at costs & for long lasting projects.

The Nashik Run event has set a perfect example to this City about the initiative and importance of social responsibility that the Corporates undertake.

The 10th year celebration of Nashik Run held on 8th January 2012 at the Mahatmanagar Ground of Nasik. Participants from all over India were welcomed by the Nashik Run Charitable Trust (NRCT) for joining the run. On this event, thousands of citizens including young and old run for the cause of helping the deprived sections of the society. Approximately 20,000 runners participated for Nashik Run 2012.

Like every year, this year also, there were two groups- one of children and other for adults. The distance for children was 2.5 kilometers while for adults it was 5 kilometers. Also, all the participants registered for the Nasik Run were given a "Nashik Run" t-shirt.

The Nashik Run 2011 was held on 9th January 2011, in which about 15,000 people participated for a good cause. People participating in the Nashik Run have to run through the streets of Nasik. With the motto, "In Aid of a Social Cause", Nashik Run was initiated on January 11, 2003 with synergizing efforts. People from in and around Nasik, participate and run for a single common social cause. It aims in promoting awareness of health as well as fitness around Nasik.

The funds that are collected are directed for causes such as training and educating the mentally challenged, skill center for less able, sheltering women and the old people, care for orphans and many others. The uniqueness of Nashik Run is that not even a single rupee is utilized on demonstrative costs. Last year i.e. in 2011, Nashik Run completed its 9th year successfully and in 2012 Nashik Run celebrats its 10th year of organizing the event.
